Do you have a most spectacular quilt from 2013? Mine is a quilt top I bought on Ebay, from Kingman, KS. I think I paid $25 for it and find it to be one of the most beautiful tops I've finished this year. I was drawn to it because of the simplicity. The white space brought on so many dreams that I found it even difficult to begin.
I took my time working through each pass. I have about 30 hours in the whole process.
At some point my granddaughter, Juniper, was over and I was on a roll and had to continue quilting. So far I had been able to strap her in a carrier and stitch.
I found out quickly how long her arms were when she reached out and grabbed a handle! That is a true LONGARM!!!! So I decided it would become her quilt and I stitched "Junie was here" in the quilt along with the date. A nice reminder of a moment that only I will be able to see.
The finished quilt is a one of a kind for sure and I LOVE it! Glad Junie was involved!
